This beautiful vantage of the train entering a mine cave next to a cascading waterfall has been blocked from guest view for over a year, as Big Thunder Trail was being revamped to accommodate the upcoming Star Wars Land expansion.
From the shoreline trail of Tom Sawyer Island, you can see the final fall of Splash Mountain from across the river, with some nice natural framing from the foliage around the attraction and the drooping trees on the Island.
