Amid the hustle and bustle of Disneyland Park, it’s so nice to find a quiet area to relax, eat a snack, review your photos, or just sit and enjoy the surroundings. One of my favorite spots to take a breather is Fantasia Gardens, more commonly known as the enclosed pond surrounding the covered dining area behind Edelweiss Snacks. Formerly the loading dock for the Motor Boat Cruise, the dining area is simply a small strip island, nestled between the Monorail track and the Small World Mall, with a great view of the Matterhorn.
This area can often be crowded with families eating their turkey legs and churros, but on less busy days in the late afternoon, it can be fairly deserted. It’s on days like these that I love to relax my feet, watch the ducks land in the water, and listen to the monorail pass by.
